| I want a voice that isn't such a struggle to bear, yet I resist even channeling myself. I resist myself as all that is required to become that land of England that says any porridge is as good—as good as bacon fat on bread, and vice-versa.

| Suicide makes the entire body virtual phenomena, as targeted by oneself and allowed to fail. On other worlds, suicide is a healing ritual, like one purposefully dying in a game to exploit the game's mechanics. Within that spectrum of worlds, some teleport solely through suicide. See the EVE Online Jump Clone.

| Nonsense to me, in this era. Nobody cares about safety when nuclear arms still threaten most cities. Nobody is protecting anyone until the nukes are disarmed or at least shrunk as an average blast radius. Nuclear terrorism precludes safety of civilians, and the infantry acts the part.
