Good [morning/afternoon], everyone. I’m Abhiram from the Base Platform team, and I’ll be presenting the milestone review for Quarter 2 on behalf of my team.
Before we dive into the technical updates, here are the individuals who have contributed throughout the quarter.
Let’s start with a quick look at the key activities handled this quarter.
Starting with Sample Bring-Up for I3 FUP3 D30:
Boot-up validation has been successfully completed for this sample.
For CPLD and KDS:
We have adapted the Board ID for the D30 variant.
Next, under UFS:
We worked on updating the parser tool to support Micron 3.1 Gen2 for both i2 and i3.
In the WLAN domain:
We supported in RTA certification activities by adapting UI test tools for RSU+.
On SMI230:
Analysis and design are ongoing to migrate the IMU from Linux to QNX foR i3 max.
Additionally, improvements are being made to the Suspend-to-RAM (S2R) functionality.
Coming to the ad-hoc activities,
We provided support in resolving an FRPA issue related to the BT chip boot-up failure on i3 systems.
For BFT Automation:
Adaptation was carried out to enable compatibility with the migration from Gen4 to Gen5 Debug board.
In QNX SDP Support:
The team collaborated with Blackberry to integrate CVE fixes for i2.
And finally, on the bug front:
We triaged over 25 issues, rejected 5, and fixed 3 during the quarter.
With that, let’s now move on to the major RFIs the team has been working on.
Starting with SMI230 to SMI330 Migration:
The design and implementation of SMI330 is currently in progress, and there is ongoing collaboration with the application team to incorporate interface changes.
Next, the UFS Memory Fresh-Up RFI:
This addresses the introduction of new UFS vendors, specifically SK hynix and Kioxia.
Implementation of UFS diagnostics is currently in progress and analysis is underway to adapt the UFS tools to support these new vendors.
Then, the UFS Memory Merge RFI:
Here, the sample has been brought up with updated provisioning and partitioning for Kioxia.
And finally, WiFi/BT Combo Module Refresh and BT-only Module Refresh:
The team is collaborating closely with LGIT and Qualcomm for the bring-up activities.
That concludes the RFI updates and overall highlights for this quarter. Thank you and feel free to ask if you have any question!
